I, like many postdocs, am on a training grant and one of the requirements is training in scientific ethics. Additionally, NRSA grant applications require submitting a plan for this. I took a scientific ethics course in grad school, but they want something current. Does MD Anderson or Baylor have plans to offer such a course? I've seen several clinical ethics offerings, but that is irrelevant to research postdocs.

Hi, Karen,
Glad to see your post. I am a postdoc with a training grant too. Have you find a training ethics topic in the MD Anderson Cancer Center yet? Thanks.
Sincerely,
Hui Zhao

Hi, Karen,
I find that GSBS offers a scientific ethics training course. The course is taught by Dr. Jon R Wiener and it is called: Ethical Dimensions of the Biomedical Sciences in the Fall term, which begins in late August. As a TMC employee, you are eligible to register for it through the UTHSCH Registrar~{!/~}s Office, which may be reached at 713-500-3335. However, I would first contact the course director, Dr. Erwin to get her permission. The class is open to a small number of non-GSBS students.
