Description: To stimulate exploration of new ideas and novel approaches in breast cancer research and clinical practice that will lead to reduction in breast cancer incidence and mortality within the next decade.

Title: Career Catalyst Research Grants

Description: CCR investigators lead a research project addressing an important question in breast cancer research and complete a self-defined career development plan with support from a mentor committee.

Eligibility: Must have a doctoral degree, including MD, PhD, DrPH, DO, or equivalent. Research scientists in the early stages of their career to achieve research independence.

Amount: $450,000 over three years

Title: Postdoctoral Fellowships

Pre-application Deadline: October 4, 2007 (required prior to starting a full application)

Full application Deadline: October 16, 2007

Description: Fellows develop skills and expertise in one of two research tracks, basic and translational research leading to reduction in breast cancer,

Eligibility: Must have a doctoral degree, including MD, PhD, DrPH, DO, or equivalent; pre faculty scientists (see web site for further eligibility guidelines)

Amount: $60,000 annually over three years
