Title: Young Investigator Award
Deadline: May 1, 2008
Description: This grant provides funding for promising research conducted by researchers in the early stages of their careers. This research grant shall be used for one or more of the following:
Research that may lead to discoveries of methods to place persons with chronic or acute leukemia into remission
Research that may lead to purging of leukemia cells from the human body.
Research that may otherwise improve the treatment, care and survival rates of patients and enhance the understanding of leukemia, its causes and ultimate cure.
Eligibility: Awarded exclusively to Texas non-profit institutions for leukemia research conducted in the state of Texas. the Principal Investigator or Research Director must hold an M.D., Ph.D. or equivalent degree.
Amount: Grant request up to $150.000 will be considered. There is no minimum amount. The term of the grant may be for any period of time not to exceed three years. Grants are generally funded in equal installments on a semi-annual basis.
