| Subject: | What is Post-Doc Association? |
The University of Texas M. D. Anderson Postdoctoral Association (PDA) has three major goals:
First, to develop a sense of community by fostering professional and social interactions among postdoctoral fellows throughout the institution;
Second, to provide a forum to disseminate accurate information and address issues relevant to postdoctoral fellows;
Third, to promote a productive dialogue among postdoctoral fellows, the administration, and the faculty.

Oh...those are nice goals, but then what is happening to achieve that?
How one could be part of this association?

Well for starters, the core team of the local PDA chapter meets every week. At the PDA meetings which are open to all the postdocs (free lunch provided), new PDA initiatives are being coined for this and the upcoming year.
At PDA we plan on expanding our structure in various directions (membership, special events, financial support, etc.).
Please contact Martha Skender @ 713-563-1374 for meeting times and PDA revitalization specifics.
