Hello.

I am new to this Board and am having trouble posting but will try again.

I have two cancers. For 20 years I have been treated for carcinoid cancer in the liver. Sandostatin has saved the day for me and I have done well on the Sandostatin. Now, the carcinoid tumors are bigger and the scans reveal a NET tumor in the pancreas.

I started Afinitor last month but could only stand it for two weeks and stopped. It was 10 mg a day. Now, my doctor wants me to take 5 mg a day as soon as I feel better.

Anyway, all of this is alot. I was spoiled because I did so well on the Sandostatin for 20 years.

So, I am just starting to peek out of my shell and see if I should be seeking other treatments or what.
Luckily I have been able to work full time until now. I quit Nov. 30th. At least I have time to search the Internet and try to get my bearings.
