Could you advise the patient that he should be assured that he has gone 5 years without a recurrence. He should eat a balanced healthy diet, avoid cigarette smoking. If he notices blood in his urine he should notify his physician. He should have a yearly check with a chest xray, CBC electrolytes, liver function tests, Vit B12 and a BUN and Creatinine. A cytology or a urovision test could be done annually as well.
