I was diagnosed with Renal Cell in Dec 2002.
I was having severe pains in my upper back and my right arm had gone numb. When they did the MRI they found a large tumor at T1.
I had my left kidney removed and the tumor there was 1 1/2 cm tumor. Later I had
two surgeries to remove the tumor from my T1 area. One from the front and then the back. I have from C4 to T4 stabilized with rods and screws. They seemed to have gotten all the cancer from that area.In Jan 2004 they found a spot on the back of my skull about the size of a nickle. At this point they started me on Thalomid daily and Zometa once a month. Since there is no know treatment for Renal Cell is this treatment just trying to keep it in check. Will I have to stay on it forever.
