We don't know for sure how long it lasts, some people get better right away and others do not. However, we have many interventions to help people with chemobrain, to minimize the impact on their daily life. It does not appear to be related to age, but it can be related to the specific drugs and the dose. Taxol should not cause much more in the way of chemobrain, but it might cause peripheral neuropathy that can cause problems.
