Subject:Calcium & Vitamin D intake during chemo

I would like to know how much calcium and vitamin D is recommended during chemo (if any).  I was previously taking Femara for 12 months (8-10 to 8-11) and know it causes bone loss.  I am no longer taking the Femara.  I will be starting Carbo/Gemzar this month for recurrence in 4 pelvic lymph nodes.

In the postmenopausal state a woman should consume by diet or by supplement 1200-1500mg of Calcium per day and 600-1000 units of Vitamin D per day.  You do not need to stop calcium or vitamin D during chemotherapy unless your physician has directed you to do so for another reason.
