Subject:Dry skin

Hi there. My name is Kelly and I live in a suburb of Houston. I am a survivor of breast cancer and I have been dealing with very dry skin. Do you have any suggestions on what types of lotions or creams to use? I have tried just about everything and I am tired of nothing working :) Thank you for taking the time to answer my question.

Hi Kelly, YES! Many cancer treatments can leave the skin feeling dry (Xerosis)Sorry that you have been feeling UN comfortable, hope these tips work!
- Use mild hypo-allergenic soaps. Anti bacterial soaps tend to be more drying.
- Non fragrance lotions, creams and soaps
- avoid hot baths.
-try taking a warm showers and gently "pat" to towel dry leaving a moist layer on your skin when applying lotions/creams.This will help absorb better to the skin.
-STAY hydrated! dink lots of water!
Check with your Dr.s/ nurses for best products to use. As I am not a medical provider I do not recommend brand names because I don't know your exact history. I'm sure these tips will help!
