Radiation Therapy - Admission & Application

The Health Sciences Student Catalog includes current information about admission to the Program in Radiation Therapy.

To learn more, visit the links below:

Application Process

The Admissions Committee considers as much information as possible when evaluating candidates' qualifications for the study and practice of radiation therapy. Candidates for admission should follow these steps:

Submit an application by April 1. The Application and Recommendation Forms can be completed online.

Schedule a site visit. Before a personal interview all applicants must observe a radiation therapy department, including at least one four-hour visit to a radiation oncology department. Contact the Program Office for assistance in scheduling. Download and print the Clinical Site Visit Form (pdf).

Complete an interview. A personal interview, by invitation of the Admissions Committee, is required for admission. A final decision on acceptance is made after this interview. The purpose of the interview is two-fold: It enables you to ask questions in order to evaluate the program for your needs, and it gives the Program personnel a chance to weigh such factors as your motivation and interpersonal skills.

The number of students accepted into the Program each year is limited, with selection made on a competitive basis. All students must be at least 18 years of age prior to the start of any clinical rotation.
