About one-third of cancer deaths may be linked to nutrition. For non-smokers, eating a low-fat, plant-based diet and maintaining a healthy weight may be the most effective ways to modify risk for certain cancers and other serious health problems. Read more

Alcohol and Cancer Risk
Drinking alcohol can increase the risk for colon, breast and liver cancer. The risk is even greater when drinking is combined with smoking. Read more

Obesity for this Generation and the Next
In 1999, 61 percent of adults in the United States were either overweight or obese, and in 2000, 38.8 million adults met the classification of obesity. Today there are nearly twice as many overweight children and almost three times as many overweight adolescents as there were in 1980.
