What can we know about God's intentions for creation?

I do not intend this to be a purely intellectual exercise, so I begin with faith. The faith that God is who he says he is. The author of the Letter to the Hebrews gives us a spiritual definition of faith. “Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.” We are talking about faith in God, not faith about God. Faith in God is not quantifiable, because proof is a human construct and does not apply to faith. The presence of faith is sufficient faith. Our faith and hope come from God as we are convinced that more exists than I can know or understand. I have faith that:

God is the creator.

God is the redeemer.

God is the sustainer.
