My daughter has metastatic osteosarcoma. Our family relies on our faith to get us thru each day. I think, and hope, that my daughter puts a smile on our Father's face everyday by the way she is perservering thru her suffering. She is amazingly thankful for what Jesus has done on our behalf and lives with gratitude.............amazing. So, that's my situation.
Question for you folks; other than the Bible, what book has helped you the most to be the best caregiver to one that you love? I need to keep filling my mind with the proper perspective so I too continue (I hope) to glorify my Father in heaven. It is a daily battle against bitterness and mistrust. It requires effort on my part to walk with him and I think that good reads can definitely help.
So far, the most helpful books for me have been The Great Divorce and Mere Christianity by CS Lewis and Heaven by Randy Alcorn.
Suggestions will be appreciated.
Thank you all for your input.
