I have had surgery removing higrade carcinoma tumors which have invaded bladder wall muscle & am awaiting further diagnosis tests to determine candidacy for orthotopic neobladder etc. Any one out there with experience thru this to share knowledge?~Tks~

I can tell you that I was diagnosed with bladder cancer in 2005. I had to have my bladder removed and chose to have a stoma made from my intestines instead of a bag. I dont regret my decision. My surgery took 15 hours because I had vaginal surgery also because cancer was there to. It wasnt easy but I was determined to get better and I did. I think attitude is very important for recovery. So far everything looks good. I cant say I dont worry about it coming back but I dont dwell on it. Im living my life. Thanks to God, some great doctors and attitude Im doing really well.
