Subject:Bladder polyps

Had bladder cancer tumors removed 4 years ago at age 36.  At my last cysto, I had some abnormal results for the cytology. Had an IVP and another cystoscope done last week.  Found several polyps in the area where the urethra opens up into the bladder and had lots of blood in my urine.   I want them removed.  Doctor says he's pretty sure they are not cancer and put me on an antibiotic (Trimethoprim) for 3 months and I go back then.  Going in 2 weeks for an ultrasound on my kidneys.  My instinct is to go see my oncologist.   What would you do ?

It sounds like you are leaning towards getting a second opinion based on your email.

I think every person is different in terms of what he/she would do. Some folks might be comfortable with the information they receive from their physician while others feel the need for a second opinion.

While there is no "right" or "wrong" decision, you need to make a decision based on your own situation and how you feel about the specifics of it.
