Hi,

I was diagnosed with RCC June of 2007. It was discovered in the tip of my little finger. After many tests it was dtermined it would be best to removed the entire kidney which was done in Oct. of 2007. At my 6-month check-up after surgury they discovered it in my pelvic bone and my lung. Here comes the part that makes my case (and my physician) crazy!

I also have sarcoidosis which forms lesions on the lungs. The RCC was found inside one of those lesions. They had to perform a biopsy to know if the enlargement was due to sarcoid or renal cell. It was both. I have been treated with 3+ rounds of Sutent. The spot of concern is larger: is it the cancer and Sutent isn't working OR is it the sarcoid? My doctor is switching me from Sutent to Torisel.

Is there anyone out there who has both? Or knows of a doctor that has treated a patient with both?  I need to knowthat we are doing what is best for my crazy situation.
