In May of 2010 I had my right kidney removed because of RCC. Three months later they removed Half of my thyroid due to papillary cancer. Everything had been going well until three weeks ago. My lower back started hurting. I am now scheduled for a MRI this coming Monday. Thinking this may just be a back problem my primary care dr. Put me on muscle relaxers and Tylenol for pain. Neither has helped at all. Now I'm petrified that the cancer may be back. I'm dreading the results of my MRI. Even though the meds haven't helped is it possible it's still a back problem and not the cancer returning in my back??
