M. D. Anderson Cancer Center welcomes the opportunity
for colleges and universities in the Houston area to take part in the M. D. Anderson CO-OP and Internship programs for Information Technology (IT) students.
Here is the way it works...
- Various M. D. Anderson IT departments have an on-going need for support in areas like software development, server administration, desktop support, etc.
- Those departments define the particulars of that support in various Job Opportunities that they then post to the M. D. Anderson web site.
Here's where you come in...
.
If one of them appeals to you and you feel that you have the background and interest to do the job, then you submit your resume to the person who posted the job.
If after reviewing your resume, that person is interested in you coming in for an interview or wants to further discuss the job over the phone, he/she will contact you and you're off and running.
If there is continued interest on both sides, then you'll process through Human Resources just like you would for any job, regular or otherwise.
This web site is here to:
- Accelerate the process for M. D. Anderson to contact potential CO-OP or Internship student employees.
- Help you get some great industry experience working for a super organization [Hint - It looks great on your resume].
- Bring into M. D. Anderson some great local college IT talent to help with a variety of IT projects.
- Allow you to make some extra bucks, unless the job doesn't have $$ associated with it [very rare].
- Finally, if you like M. D. Anderson and vice versa, it helps both of us make a decision as to whether we should get together on an ongoing basis after your graduation.
Cool, huh!!
